Just 2 miles away Monkstown Golf Club is a challenging course with excellent clubhouse facilities, overlooking Cork’s glorious harbour. The Club celebrated its centenary in 2008 and has hosted many Golfing Union of Ireland and Irish Ladies Golf Union events throughout its history.
Fota Golf Course just 4 miles in the other direction hosted the Irish Open in 2014. The splendid woodlands of Fota are woven into three challenging championship courses which are very much in the traditional mode, featuring strategically placed bunkers and undulating putting surfaces.
We should probably mention there are about ten other courses within twelve miles or so too. So you won’t be short on options!
